Brands as Publishers: With the advent of mass use of social media channels, brands, big and small, B2B and B2C, need to start looking at where their audiences are congregating and providing them with the kind of information that they are looking for in order to make their purchasing decisions. This is very similar to the challenge that faces publishers in terms of attracting readership to their sites, so it can be useful to look at how they work and how they think.

In this video, Mike Butcher, the Editor of TechCrunch Europe gives some interesting insights into how to approach the online publications like TechCrunch that are straddling the gulf between traditional and new media.
